Little french Table - the real deal
Little french Table - the real deal

In a French Paris Flea market I stumbled upon this very pretty ornate and rather lovely small table. The shop owner gave me permission to photograph it from many different angles

Original Antiques that I copied

These two chairs are the originals that I copied and created in 12th scale. They date to the 19th C. and are copies of earlier 18thC style chairs.

The real Console table
The real Console table

This hugely gorgeous and ornate Console table was incredibly difficult to photograph as it was tucked away behind the most stunningly expensive urns and chairs. The next image is the drawing before the modelling

Design
Design

Part of the process of design is to draw out all the detail of the design. The next step is then to produce a prototype before moulding

This is the prototype ready to be moulded and then recreated. It was important to me that the table had as much detail as possible and was as true to the original as possible

I simply love rose swags and finials - I would have them on everything if I could! This tiny copy of a french Console table found in France has small rose elements.

I love collecting Antique French Treasures and sometime sell them in eBay...the little black french bust is my favourite at the moment!

Close up of my Satsumas!
Close up of my Satsumas!

I like to play around with all sorts of things - had a little experiment making satsumas - the detailing nearly made me go blind! and when looked at from a normal distance you can barely see the detail...had fun making them.

Sophies long locks cascade down the back of the chair. She is available for sale but is by no means a perfect doll - see my shop "Misc. items for sale" to see if she is still available. I love making dolls - struggle with the hands but really loved dressing them.

I simply love this fabric on this little french hat box....simply gorgeous and would be beautiful in 12th scale. One of my good friends owns a very pretty house in Warwickshire and amongst many of her wonderful French finds was this little hat box. I really do need to create this fabric in 12th scale!
